Van Driver - From 8am to 5pm but times may vary.
Our continuing expansion has created an opportunity for a van delivery driver who is a very good, safe driver that has excellent communication and interpersonal abilities and the confidence to relate easily with customers, colleagues and suppliers. The hours are to be discussed. We will also take on Lorry Drivers with their wages to be discussed. There will also be the opportunity for the right candidate to be put through their HGV Class 2 licence paid for by us.

Main Responsibilities:
- Prepares van for operation by inspecting general condition; checking fluid levels and tyre pressure; obtaining or scheduling required repairs.
- Loading and unloading vans/lorries.
- Deliver items by identifying destinations; establishing route; operating the van; unloading items; maintaining schedule in accordance with the customer’s requirements.
- Develops sales by reviewing standing orders; analysing sales; recommending changes and new products; taking and placing orders; calling on potential customers.
- Providing a quality service to our customers, understanding and resolving or forwarding complaints; adjusting orders.
- Developing and maintaining knowledge of the company’s equipment for hire/sale.
- Supporting and communicating effectively with the office/yard team.
- Undertaking any other duties which arise within the job holders capabilities.
- Enhances organisation reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Requirements:
- Very good, safe driver
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure to set deadlines and prioritise tasks.
- A flexible attitude is a must.

In return we offer a competitive salary starting at £27,000 per year. 20 days holiday excl. bank holidays and the option for overtime where it is available.
