THE ROLE
We are looking for a Production Operator to join our team producing food supplements for the rapidly growing health & wellness market, based at our site in Coggeshall, Essex. Start date would be immediate and the role will be permanent.
The role is primarily to carry out production/packaging of finished products, labelling finished product and assisting with any additional requirements from production or operations. All work is to be carried out in accordance with cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) requirements and the company’s SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). Staff will be working alongside a production team, so teamwork and the ability communicate effectively with others on site is of vital importance.
Duty and responsibilities include:
1- Support the implementation of the weekly production plans
2- Apply all processes, methods, SOPs and controls taking place in the clean room area including the filling area and storage area as instructed by the production manager/ production supervisor.
3- Report any non-conformity, incident or safety hazard as soon as possible in line with the pharmaceutical safety culture policy.
4- Take reasonable care of own and others safety; co-operate with managers/ supervisors in complying with statutory health and pharmaceutical safety duties; report incidents, accidents, faults etc.
5- Assist in the promotion of safety training, pharmaceutical safety culture, GMP/HACCP guidelines and ensure that all relevant safety guidelines are applied during all stages of storage and production.
6- Facilitate and help in non-conformance investigations
7- Create, review and update documentation applicable to assigned duties.
8- Effectively and safely handle all required duties such as:
- Assemble raw and packaging materials.
- Dispense materials for production.
- Manufacture bulk product.
- Set up and run all machinery and equipment for manufacturing and packing.
- Cleaning of machinery and equipment after completion.
9- Successfully complete all training required
10- Any other duties temporarily or on a continuing basis, as may reasonably be required, commensurate with your grade
Experience and Qualification:
1- A-level or equivalent in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Science, or a relevant science subject.
2- Proven relevant work experience in a laboratory, cleanroom, production, or technical support environment.
Desired:
1- Degree qualified in Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Biology, Pharmaceutical Science, or relevant discipline.
2- GMP/HACCP, cleanroom, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, cosmetic, or food-production experience.
