About Holon
Holon is one of the UK's first high-tech wellness centres, giving people access to the latest health technologies - from infrared sauna and hyperbaric oxygen to blood diagnostics and functional medicine - to help them perform better, recover faster, and address complex chronic symptoms. We're a small, purpose-driven team on a mission to make optimal health accessible and inspiring.
We're looking for a General Manager who is as passionate about health as we are - someone with sharp operational instincts, genuine leadership ability, a natural networker and the drive to help scale something meaningful. If you've thrived in a fast-moving environment, know how to make things run well, and want your work to actually matter, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
This is a hands-on leadership role at the heart of everything Holon does. You'll own daily operations, lead the team, manage financial performance, and ensure our clients receive an exceptional experience every time. You'll also play a key role in shaping strategy and driving sustainable growth alongside the founder.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Systems
- Oversee and continuously improve internal workflows and processes.
- Drive consistent team adoption of core business systems.
- Keep internal documentation accurate, up to date, and easy to use.
Financial Oversight
- Prepare monthly financial and performance reports.
- Manage P&L tracking, expenditure, and reconciliations.
- Provide data-driven insights to support financial planning and forecasting.
Client Experience
- Manage client platforms, appointments, memberships, and pricing.
- Ensure seamless, high-quality communication across all client channels.
- Handle escalated client situations with professionalism and care.
- Build lasting relationships - be the kind of person clients trust and remember.
Team Leadership & Development
- Line-manage a small, close-knit team with regular check-ins and performance reviews.
- Lead training across wellness knowledge, client skills, and business systems.
- Oversee onboarding, scheduling, rotas, and holiday planning.
- Create a culture of accountability, development, and genuine support.
Partnerships & Business Development
- Identify and build relationships with local organisations, businesses, and health practitioners whose values align with Holon's mission.
- Develop referral partnerships with GPs, physiotherapists, nutritionists, personal trainers, and other health professionals interested in whole systems health
- Represent Holon at relevant events, networking opportunities, and in the wider Glasgow health and wellness community.
- Negotiate and manage partnership agreements, ensuring mutual value and long-term commitment.
- Collaborate with corporates to develop employee wellness packages and B2B opportunities.
Growth, KPIs & Strategy
- Set and track KPIs across operations, finance, and community engagement.
- Develop and execute strategies for sustainable growth.
- Contribute to long-term planning and business scaling.
Space, Compliance & Data
- Ensure the centre is always safe, clean, and fully operational.
- Lead health & safety compliance and risk assessments.
- Handle client data in line with GDPR and UK regulations.
- Maintain secure digital systems and champion a culture of data responsibility.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Proven experience in an operations or management role.
- Strong financial literacy - confident with P&L, KPIs, and reporting.
- A natural leader who gets the best out of people.
- Excellent communicator with good judgement under pressure.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable with ambiguity.
Desirable:
- Background or genuine interest in health, wellness, or functional medicine.
- Experience organising events or community programmes.
- Familiarity with branding, marketing, or social media.
