Education & Quality Lead

About the Role
M:Tech is a dynamic music education company delivering exciting creative composition lessons to thousands of children in London and the South East every week. We seeking an experienced and passionate Education & Quality Lead to drive the quality, consistency and ongoing development of our educational programme.
Working closely with the Head of Education, Regional Managers and our teaching team, you will play a key role in ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across M:Tech. This includes leading on teacher development, quality assurance, curriculum enhancement and operational delivery.
You will support Regional Managers who oversee groups of teachers across the country, helping to ensure consistent delivery, strong educational outcomes and outstanding experiences for schools and learners.
The role also plays a key part in the rollout and delivery of our Creative Musicianship pathway, embedding this qualification across the organisation in partnership with ABRSM.
Key Responsibilities
Teacher & Regional Manager Support
- Support Regional Managers in maintaining high teaching standards across their cohorts
- Identify teachers requiring additional support and implement targeted development plans
- Conduct lesson observations and provide clear, developmental feedback
- Support onboarding and induction of new teachers, including classroom management, behaviour and learner engagement
- Contribute to teacher training and ongoing professional development
- Act as a key point of contact for teacher and Regional Manager queries
Quality Assurance
- Monitor teaching standards across partner schools
- Review project submissions and maintain quality expectations
- Manage deadlines, submission processes and completion schedules
- Gather feedback from teachers, schools and Regional Managers to support continuous improvement
- Contribute to the development of quality assurance processes and educational standards
Qualification & Course Development
- Support the rollout and delivery of our Creative Musicianship pathway in partnership with ABRSM
- Ensure consistent delivery of qualification requirements across regions
- Support assessment, moderation and submission processes
- Contribute to the development of qualification resources and support materials
- Help shape future pathways and educational opportunities
Resource Development
- Create and develop teaching resources and project materials
- Develop assessment tools, quizzes and supplementary learning resources
- Maintain resource libraries and internal content systems
- Contribute to the ongoing development of M:Tech curriculum and educational provision
Operations & Programme Delivery
- Coordinate teacher cover arrangements and operational planning
- Respond to enquiries from teachers, schools, parents and internal teams
- Support delivery of termly projects and educational initiatives
- Maintain accurate systems, records and operational processes
Equipment & Logistics
- Maintain equipment inventories and hardware records
- Coordinate replacement equipment requests and distribution
- Ensure teaching equipment remains organised and operational
School Engagement & Events
- Deliver workshops, taster sessions and educational events where required
- Support preparation and delivery of teacher meetings, training events and development days
Safeguarding & Compliance
- Support safeguarding procedures and escalate concerns appropriately
- Maintain up-to-date safeguarding knowledge and practice
- Promote safe, professional and compliant working environments
About You
Essential
- Teaching experience in a primary or early years setting with a passion for creative learning
- Strong musicianship and confident understanding of key musical concepts and terminology with practical experience with music production workflows and industry-standard DAWs (e.g. GarageBand, Logic Pro, Cubase and equivalents).
- Good classroom practice, learner engagement and communication skills
- Experience supporting, coaching or developing colleagues
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Comfortable working across digital platforms and educational technology
Desirable
- Experience conducting lesson observations and providing developmental feedback
- Experience developing educational resources or curriculum materials
- Knowledge of music technology education
- Experience working across multiple schools or educational settings
- Experience supporting qualification delivery or assessment processes
