Musical Munchkins Dance Teacher Position: Dance Teacher Location: Musical Munchkins, Worcester Hours: Wednesdays (term time) with additional rehearsals and performances as required. The Role We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and inspiring Dance Teacher to join our team. You will choreograph and teach engaging routines for children of varying ages and abilities, helping them develop both technically and artistically while ensuring every child feels included and confident. Key Responsibilities - Plan and deliver exciting, age-appropriate dance classes. - Choreograph routines for our annual productions, showcases and performances. - Adapt choreography to suit different abilities and learning styles. - Encourage confidence, teamwork and a love of performing. - Work closely with the Principal and other teaching staff to create high-quality musical theatre productions. - Support children during rehearsals, dress rehearsals and performances. - Maintain a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment. - Communicate professionally with parents and colleagues when required. - Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and company policies. Essential Requirements - Experience teaching dance to children. - Strong choreography skills across musical theatre and commercial styles. - A positive, energetic and encouraging teaching approach. - Excellent communication and organisational skills. - Ability to motivate and inspire young performers. - Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one). - Commitment to safeguarding children. Desirable - Experience within musical theatre. - Teaching qualifications or relevant dance qualifications. - First Aid qualification. - Experience preparing children for stage performances.
