Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Room Leader to join our vibrant team. In this vital role, you will lead a dedicated group of early childhood educators, oversee daily activities, and ensure the delivery of high-quality childcare. Your leadership will help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive and explore.
Duties
- Lead and manage a designated nursery room, guiding staff to deliver stimulating, age-appropriate activities that support children’s development.
- Foster strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through clear communication and positive interactions.
- Plan and implement engaging curriculum activities aligned with early childhood education principles.
- Monitor and assess each child's progress, maintaining detailed records to support individual learning journeys.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and safeguarding policies to maintain a secure environment.
- Support team members’ professional development through mentorship and constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the overall smooth running of the nursery by participating in team meetings and planning sessions.
Requirements
- Proven management and leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting.
- Extensive experience working with children in early childhood education environments.
- Strong understanding of childcare regulations, safeguarding procedures, and best practices in early years education.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Childcare qualifications such as Level 3 Early Years Educator or equivalent are essential.
- Nursery or preschool experience demonstrating knowledge of child-led learning approaches.
- Valid driving license is preferred for travel between nursery sites or community engagement activities.
