We are recruiting on behalf of a leading social housing repairs and maintenance contractor for an experienced Qualified Electrical Supervisor to oversee a high-volume EICR, repairs, rewiring and remedial works programme.
This is a hands-on supervisory and contract management role, responsible for electrical compliance, delivery, commercial performance and people management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a high-volume EICR / inspection and testing contract across social housing properties.
- Act as Qualified Supervisor within an NICEIC, NAPIT or equivalent accredited environment.
- Oversee electricians, Supervisors and Administrators, including performance management, coaching and development.
- Ensure compliance with BS 7671, Guidance Note 3, Approved Document P and EICR codes C1, C2, C3 & FI.
- Manage EICRs, EICs and Minor Works Certificates, ensuring certification is issued within agreed timescales.
- Manage EICR P&L, budgets, forecasting, Schedule of Rates and variations.
- Discharge supplier-side Principal Contractor duties under CDM 2015 for rewiring and remedial works.
- Manage RAMS, Health & Safety Plans, asbestos checks against the Register and RIDDOR reporting.
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, compliance and resident satisfaction.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification or equivalent.
- AM2 Practical Assessment.
- Completed Electrical Apprenticeship.
- Approved Electrician status.
- City & Guilds 2391 or recognised equivalent.
- City & Guilds 2382 / BS 7671 18th Edition or recognised successor.
- Proven experience as a Qualified Supervisor within NICEIC, NAPIT or equivalent.
- Proven experience managing high-volume EICR contracts, ideally within social housing or public-sector residential estates.
- Strong working knowledge of BS 7671 and electrical inspection & testing.
Desirable
SMSTS, IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH qualifications, together with experience of CDM 2015 Principal Contractor duties.
