Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence
- Support with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring nutritional needs are met according to individual care plans
- Maintain clear communication with team members, residents, and families to ensure consistent, high-quality care
- Follow prescribed care plans accurately, documenting any changes or concerns promptly
- Use your driving skills to support home care visits or transportation needs when required
- Keep accurate records of care provided using IT systems designed for health and social care documentation
- Foster a warm, respectful environment that encourages social interaction and emotional well-being
Requirements
- Experience working within a care home or providing home care services is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided
- Knowledge of creating and following individual care plans tailored to each person’s needs
- Proficiency in English to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members
- Strong communication skills with a caring attitude and the ability to listen attentively
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
