Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our care in the community team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background as a senior care, supervisory experience, and excellent communication skills. This role offers an opportunity to lead and support our care team in delivering high-quality care to clients ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. A valid driving licence is essential.
Duties
- Supervise and support care staff to ensure the delivery of exceptional care
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, and medication management
- Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and be familiar with PASS for care and NOURISH EMPOWER.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care
- Organise and participate in staff training sessions to promote best practices in senior care
- Oversee the safe use of equipment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a senior carer
- Supervising or leadership experience within a healthcare setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients, families, and team members
- Knowledge of care plans, health & safety procedures, and relevant legislation
- Competent IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation and an advantage if you have knowledge of PASS and NOURISH.
- Valid driving licence is a requirement.

- On-Call 1 week in 4. - on call is from 5.30 am until 8am ( unless office is open early) & 6pm-10.30pm mon - fri and 5.30am - 10.30pm on weekemds. You are expected to cover work if you are on call and there is no cover available.
Pay: £13.00 per hour
