Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join our team for both day and night shifts.
This role involves providing essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring they receive high-quality, personalised care. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be attentive to detail, and have a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. Previous experience in care environments is advantageous but not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive and professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Support residents with their care plans, ensuring individual needs are met effectively
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in residents’ conditions
- Support with meal preparation and intake where necessary
- Assist with light domestic duties to ensure a clean and safe environment
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and team members to promote well-being and comfort
- Accompany residents on outings or appointments as required
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe environment for all
Skills
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and documentation purposes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team within busy environments
- Strong organisational skills to manage care plans and daily routines effectively
- Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in caring for others
- Knowledge of care home procedures and practices is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to adapt to changes and work under pressure is essential due to the nature of care work

We are looking for applicants wanting full time hours, however for the right candidate we may be able to offer a part time position.
