The AF Coach is a key role within Anytime Fitness to ensure that our members achieve their goals. They are responsible for maximising member engagement and retention through the delivery of the Member Journey and overall customer service.
AF Coaches are required to deliver member-based activities such as group exercise classes, wellbeing appointments, one on one and group coaching, and promotion of club services and products. One of their most important roles is in delivering fitness consultations with new members, to help them start their fitness journey at the club on the right foot. AF Coaches are also responsible for generating secondary income which aids the club in achieving their commercial goals, such as providing Personal Training.
An effective AF Coach should have a fundamental understanding of the fitness industry and be qualified to or working towards a level 3 industry standard qualification. A great Coach is a team player that can achieve productivity in a pressurised environment, driving themselves and the team to achieve targets and creating a friendly and enjoyable club environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct fitness consultations and body scans, for new and existing members.
- Coordinate follow-up appointments to maintain ongoing training services and keep coaching options at the forefront of members' minds.
- Member retention.
- Group exercise classes
- Utilise information gathered during member onboarding to suggest appropriate training options, including Coaching add-ons, and one-on-one Personal Training.
- Support the club manager with the operational running of the gym, such as maintaining equipment and keeping floor cleanliness to a high standard.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for potential members of the gym, providing information and assistance throughout the membership sign-up process. This includes: i) Calling prospects to get them booked in for sales tours. ii) Generating and managing leads to convert into membership sales iii) Conducting sales presentations and tours iv) Maintaining accurate and up-to-date membership records.
- Support operational tasks to promote training services, including engagement campaigns, national marketing campaigns, and community outreach efforts
- Create an environment that inspires members and guests to share their positive experiences with friends and family.
- Deliver top-notch customer service and aim to improve the lives of each person you meet.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Level 3 Personal Training Qualification
- The ability to energise, influence, support and inspire
- Excellent presentation, communication and relationship building skills
- Experience within the Fitness Industry (1 year minimum)
- Experience within a target driven environment
- Proven ability to thrive under pressure
- A passion for fitness and helping others work towards goals
- Proven ability to teach group exercise classes.
