Are you a passionate and qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) looking for an opportunity to support children and young people across Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea?
West Central London Mind is seeking two dedicated and compassionate Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) to join our Mental Health Support Team, delivering outcome-focused, evidence-based interventions to schools and colleges across Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea.
This is not a fully remote or home-based role. The post holder will be required to work across schools and colleges, our office, and from home, depending on service and operational requirements. Applicants must therefore be able to work in educational settings and attend the office when required. Applications from candidates who are only able to work remotely or from outside the UK will not be suitable for this role.
A qualification as an Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) is essential for this position. Candidates who do not hold the required EMHP qualification will not be considered for the role.
You will:
The post holder will provide preventative, evidence-based mental health support to children and young people with mild to moderate needs. You will work collaboratively within schools and colleges to enhance positive mental health and improve access to specialist services when needed.

Deliver evidence-based interventions.

Conduct therapeutic assessments and manage a caseload effectively.

Support rapid access to specialist services for those with more severe needs.

Contribute to delivering a wide variety of psychoeducational workshops to children, young people, parents/carers and school staff as part of the whole-school approach to mental health.

Attend regular 1:1 and group supervision to maintain the highest standards of professional practice and continued learning.

Empower school staff to identify and manage mental health concerns.

Maintain accurate records and contribute to service evaluation.

Attend multi-agency meetings and support transitions in education/employment.

Develop clinical and training materials in collaboration with the wider team.
You are:

A qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) – this is an essential requirement for the role.

Highly motivated, with the ability to organise and prioritise your own workload.

Experienced in working within educational settings.

Aware of, and have a strong understanding of, safeguarding and risk management procedures.

Committed to inclusive, values-based practice.

An excellent communicator with strong organisational and teamwork skills.

Able and willing to work across schools, colleges, the office and from home as required by the service.
