Physiotherapist
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physiotherapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in helping patients recover, improve mobility, and enhance their overall quality of life through personalised, evidence-based physiotherapy.
This is a private physiotherapy position requiring a highly skilled clinician with strong hands-on experience and the ability to independently manage a varied clinical caseload. The role involves treating patients across diverse age groups and conditions, with particular value placed on experience in paediatric physiotherapy.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ physical conditions through detailed evaluations, including medical history, functional limitations, mobility, pain, and rehabilitation needs.
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans using evidence-based physiotherapy techniques.
- Provide hands-on physiotherapy treatment, including manual therapy, soft-tissue techniques, joint mobilisation, therapeutic exercise, and functional rehabilitation.
- Guide patients through personalised rehabilitation programmes to improve strength, mobility, balance, flexibility, and independence.
- Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment strategies according to clinical findings and individual goals.
- Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, posture, exercise, home-care programmes, and long-term self-management.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation in accordance with professional and healthcare standards.
- Communicate effectively with private medical insurance companies, including treatment authorisation, clinical reporting, and ongoing case management.
- Independently manage and prioritise a varied clinical caseload, ensuring patients receive timely assessments, treatment, follow-up, and discharge.
- Demonstrate excellent time-management and organisational skills while managing multiple patients and clinical priorities.
- Maintain high standards of patient care, confidentiality, safeguarding, and professional conduct.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of post-graduate physiotherapy experience.
- Minimum 2 years of physiotherapy experience working in the UK.
- Proven experience working in private physiotherapy and/or hospital settings.
- Demonstrable experience working with private medical insurance companies.
- Proven ability to independently manage a busy and varied clinical caseload, from initial assessment through to discharge.
- Strong hands-on clinical skills, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, functional rehabilitation, and appropriate treatment modalities.
- Specialist knowledge and experience in musculoskeletal conditions.
- Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practice.
- Excellent patient-care and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and communicate clearly and empathetically with patients of all ages.
- Ability to conduct detailed clinical assessments and develop effective, evidence-based treatment plans.
- Familiarity with current physiotherapy techniques, rehabilitation protocols, and evidence-based practice.
- Excellent organisational, prioritisation, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for the management of an individual clinical caseload.
- HCPC registered.
- CSP registered/member.
Professional Requirements
- Current HCPC registration.
- Current CSP registration/membership.
- Minimum 5 years’ post-graduate physiotherapy experience.
- Minimum 2 years’ UK physiotherapy experience.
- Previous experience in private physiotherapy.
- Experience working with private medical insurance companies.
- Demonstrable hands-on physiotherapy expertise.
- Proven ability to manage, prioritise, and maintain a clinical caseload independently.
