We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in South East London.
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time, Term-Time only Agency Supply (with potential for a long-term or permanent position)
Salary: Competitive daily rate, dependent on experience

Your Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
- Help children access learning and achieve their individual goals.
- Support behaviour using positive strategies.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals.
- Encourage confidence, independence and social development.
- Build positive relationships with pupils and their families.
We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children (school, nursery, care or similar).
- A patient, positive and proactive approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable (not essential):
- Experience supporting children with SEN.
- Read Write Inc. (RWI) Phonics training.
- First Aid qualification.
- Team Teach, Makaton or PECS training.
