Overview of the role
The role of the Team Leader is to provide support and guidance to a team of care workers, whilst making sure you always provide the highest level of care and lead by example. You must have experience in the care sector and have the willingness to learn and expand on your previous knowledge. Not only will you make a huge difference to people’s lives, ensuring the people we work with are safe, happy, and lead fulfilling lives. In short, a home where we go the extra mile to ensure the comfort and happiness of our residents.
Main Duties:
- Provide effective leadership, coordination, and support for the care team.
- Give and receive handovers and ensure that any work is completed until this can be safely handed over to the next senior person in charge.
- Provide leadership and support for care staff and act as a champion for residents’ safety and dignity.
- Medication administration, Personal care/caregiving.
- Lias with out-of-hours GP / emergency services if needed.
- To maintain skills and knowledge and ensure that care is delivered according to the latest guidelines and best practice evidence available.
- Ensure the ongoing safety of residents, staff, and visitors through systematic assessment, monitoring and reviewing processes.
- Ensure that clear and accurate records and communication systems relating to clinical and care delivery are maintained and effectively used.
- Supervise care staff on a day-to-day basis and through formal supervision processes if needed .
- Demand high-quality care delivery focused on residents' individually assessed needs and choices.
- Attend all statutory and mandatory training as required by the Company to fulfil your duties.
- To maintain standards of infection control within the home and to assist residents in maintaining their own infection control needs.
- Ensure high standards of record keeping are maintained by legislative and Company requirements.
- Helping with Laundry duties, cleaning duties, washing, drying, and ironing if needed

Experience:
- Minimum of 1-year experience (preferred)
- Medication administration
