We are recruiting for a Production Supervisor to join our expanding team based at our site in Howden. The candidate will work 5 days a week Monday to Friday from 7:00 until 15:30. The salary for this role is £36,250 plus Quarterly Bonus up to £750.
Main responsibilities:
- Setting and clearly communicating goals and deadlines for performance in line with the company’s plans and visions
- Assessing staffing resources and effectively organise workflow to ensure all tasks within the department are carried out by a competent member of the team and to the highest standard
- Coordinating cross-training within the department, monitoring training requirements and implement training as required
- Monitor timekeeping and absences, escalating to management where required
- Assess and review staff performance, offering feedback, both constructive and positive, to support the professional development of team members
- Monitor and enforce quality standards within the team to meet quality objectives, reporting any issues to management
- Ensuring daily operation of equipment by monitoring performance and calling for repairs as required, evaluating new equipment and techniques
In addition to any other duties, as a responsible person you must ensure that you have read, understood and adhere to polices and procedures relating to Health and Safety, and your responsibilities located in the Integrated Management System (IMS) Responsibilities document.

Desired skills & knowledge:
- Good IT skills - strong experience of Microsoft Office including Excel
- Flexibility, commitment and punctuality
- Familiarity with company policies and legal guidelines.
- Knowledge of quality systems and standards.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety standards and compliance.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices, implementation of new tools, and continuous improvement of existing processes.
