Chef de partie – Authentic Thai Restaurant, North Devon
We are an established Thai restaurant in North Devon seeking a talented Chef de partie
to join our friendly and dedicated kitchen team. You will work closely with our owner and Head Chef in a 60‑seat restaurant, preparing authentic, fresh Thai cuisine for both dine‑in and takeaway guests.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about great food, reliable under pressure, and eager to grow with us as we continue to elevate our menu and service.
What We’re Looking For
- Commercial kitchen experience is essential.
- Experience in Asian or Thai cooking is a strong advantage, but not required.
- A strong understanding of food hygiene, health & safety, and kitchen best practice.
- A valid food hygiene certificate is desirable.
- Ability to cook starters and progress to mains using a 6‑range gas burner and fryer.
- Willingness to learn and progress to confidently use our wok range, which is central to our cooking style.
- Commitment to developing the skills needed to run the kitchen independently during sickness or absence.
A native Thai speaker is preferred, as this supports the authenticity of our cuisine and communication within the kitchen.
What the Role Involves
- Preparing and cooking high‑quality Thai dishes to order.
- Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, organisation, and food safety.
- Supporting the Head Chef in menu execution and kitchen operations.
- Taking on full cooking duties over time as your confidence and skills grow.
Salary
- Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications.
