The Role We are seeking an experienced and reliable Joiner to join our team carrying out reactive maintenance and repair works within occupied and void council properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of joinery tasks, ensuring repairs are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard while providing excellent customer service to tenants and residents. Key Responsibilities Carry out reactive joinery repairs and maintenance works in council and social housing properties. Repair, replace, and install doors, frames, skirting boards, architraves, flooring, kitchen units, and other timber components. Complete first and second-fix joinery tasks. Diagnose faults and identify the most effective repair solutions. Ensure all works are completed in line with health and safety regulations. Maintain accurate records of completed works, materials used, and any follow-on repairs required. Communicate professionally with tenants, residents, and colleagues. Ensure company vehicles, tools, and equipment are maintained and used responsibly. Requirements Proven experience as a Joiner/Carpenter within maintenance, repairs, or social housing environments. Ability to carry out a wide range of joinery repairs independently. CSCS Card Full UK Driving Licence. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage workload effectively. Experience working on council or social housing contracts (desirable).
