An established independent retail and distribution business based in Portsmouth is seeking a reliable, practical and customer-focused individual to join our team.
This is a varied role combining customer deliveries, warehouse duties and occasional showroom support. The successful candidate will become an important part of a small, friendly team and will represent the business both in-store and in customers' homes. The role includes regular Saturday working as part of the normal weekly rota. Applicants must be available to work Saturdays.
Main Responsibilities
- Delivering to customers' homes throughout the local area
- Carrying products safely into customers' properties
- Assembling products onsite
- Providing excellent customer service during deliveries
- Assisting with unloading supplier deliveries
- Preparing customer orders in the warehouse
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment
- Supporting showroom sales during busy periods
- Helping maintain high standards throughout the business
What We're Looking For
- Full UK driving licence
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling
- Friendly and professional when dealing with customers
- Practical, hands-on approach to work
- Able to work effectively as part of a small team
- Good communication skills
- Previous delivery, warehouse, retail or customer service experience would be beneficial but is not essential
