Duties
- Deliver tailored personal care to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Support clients with medication administration according to prescribed schedules and protocols.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and maintaining a safe living environment.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to reduce feelings of loneliness and promote mental well-being.
- Support clients with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary, using safe practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, changes in condition, and any incidents or concerns.
Qualifications
- Previous assisted living or home care experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of patient care practices, including dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, hospice care, and senior care.
- Experience working in nursing homes or similar healthcare settings is advantageous.
- Certification or training in first aid and medication administration is preferred.
- Valid driving license for transportation purposes; ability to drive safely is a plus.
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach to supporting vulnerable individuals.
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting safely and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and team members.
