Kitchen Assistant
Responsible to: Cook, Senior Cook, Deputy and Registered Manager
Location: Graceland's Care Home, Guisborough
Summary
To assist in the delivery of person-centred resident care, working as a catering team alongside a cook to achieve high quality meals and service, whilst maintaining dignity and respect for all residents.
Key Tasks
· Ensure that the residents receive an adequate diet with any necessary adaptations, any special instructions will be given by the cook/manager.
· Ensure the preparation of dining tables is carried out as per instruction.
· Following the meals, the clearing away of the tables and surrounding floor area to be carried out.
· Ensure supplies in the kitchen are used effectively.
· Ensure all deliveries are checked and signed for.
· Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned, using the dishwasher and put away efficiently.
· Ensure the safety of the resident personal belongings
· Always maintain good order and cleanliness within the home.
· Ensure the daily plan of work that you have prepared is followed.
· Maintain good order and cleanliness in the kitchen following and maintaining a daily, weekly, monthly cleaning routine.
· Ensure completion of all required paperwork
Job Types: Permanent, 24.75 hours contract
