Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to patients in care homes and home care settings, assisting with daily activities and ensuring their well-being. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Support the implementation of personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record patients’ health conditions, reporting any concerns promptly
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a caring environment
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within care environments
- Support patients with daily activities, including meal preparation and light domestic duties
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Skills
- Have a strong interest in working in elderly care services and a desire to make a difference.
- Experience working in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Be enthusiastic , caring, friendly and compassionate.
- Be reliable and have a flexible approach to your working pattern
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with patients, families, and colleagues
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Hours rate is £12.78ph Mon to Fri & £13.03 at weekends
Our home provides care on a 24hr basis, 7 days a week including weekends and Bank Holidays. This means we need reliable and flexible staff working within our service.
The shift patterns are :
20.00-08.00 ( 12hr shifts)
