Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Final Inspection Supervisor to lead our quality assurance team in ensuring products meet the highest standards before delivery. In this vital role, you will oversee the final inspection process, coordinate with production teams, and implement rigorous quality checks to guarantee customer satisfaction. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement, uphold safety standards, and foster a culture of excellence throughout the inspection process.
Our role is best described as hands-on role, particularly suited to a practically minded person. Our successful candidate will take overall ownership and control of the final inspection department whilst reporting in to the Quality department.
Core Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient and effective parts inspection in line with commercial demand
- Maintain strict adherence to Customer Method documents and internal SOPs
- Identify, prioritise and develop new SOPs & Method documentation where applicable
- Carry out spot checks on existing and future inspections
- Maintain traceability of inspected castings and maintain scrap and rework records
- Escalate non conformity through correct procedures
- Highlight and document non conformity when found
- Ensure effective communication and liaison with responsible departments when such non conformity is found
- Collaborate with production to resolve non-conformities promptly and prevent recurrence
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspection activities, quality reports, and compliance records
- Train team members on quality assurance protocols, analysis skills, and safety procedures to foster a knowledgeable workforce
- Mentor and upskill existing staff members on the correct methodology of inspecting castings and the correct use of Inspection equipment
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and promote a culture of continuous improvement in quality standards
Experience
- Proven experience in quality assurance or final inspection roles within manufacturing environments
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret data, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience supervising or mentoring inspection teams
- Familiarity with industry standards related to product quality, safety regulations, and inspection techniques
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate across departments and document findings accurately

Pay: £25,420.00-£51,910.01 per year
