Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Food Manufacturing Operations Manager to oversee daily production activities within our food manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining high quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Duties
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of food manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are met efficiently and safely.
- Oversee the utilisation of SAP and ERP systems to manage inventory, scheduling, and production workflows.
- Implement and monitor supply chain processes to ensure timely procurement of raw materials and distribution of finished goods.
- Drive continuous improvement programmes focused on process optimisation, waste reduction, and productivity enhancement.
- Maintain rigorous quality control standards by establishing procedures aligned with food safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including quality assurance, maintenance, and logistics to streamline operations.
- Analyse operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all manufacturing activities.
- Provide training and support to staff on new processes, equipment, or systems such as ERP platforms or assembly techniques.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food manufacturing or a related industrial environment with a strong understanding of supply chain management.
- Proficiency in SAP, ERP systems, and process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to food processing equipment and assembly lines.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on quality control and process optimisation.
- Relevant qualifications in manufacturing management, engineering, or food technology are desirable but not essential.
This role is integral to maintaining our commitment to excellence in food production while fostering innovation through continuous process enhancement.
Pay: £37,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
