About the role
Primer Demolition Limited/FDS Waste Limited are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to support the Financial Controller across Primer Demolition and a group of associated companies.
This is a varied role supporting the day-to-day financial function across the group, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, intercompany accounts, invoicing, credit control, payroll and CIS and general administration.
We are looking for someone who is methodical, accurate and highly organised, with a genuine pride in maintaining well-kept financial records. Once established, you will have the autonomy to manage your own workload while working closely with the Financial Controller.
Key responsibilities
· Supporting the Financial Controller with the day-to-day accounts function
· Purchase and sales ledger, data entry - processing invoices and payments
· Bank and account reconciliations
· Assisting with intercompany accounts and reconciliations
· Assisting with month-end procedures
· Maintaining accurate and well-organised financial records
· Credit control and following up outstanding invoices
· Assisting with payroll and Construction Industry Scheme compliance
· Assisting with VAT and other finance administration
· Supporting the Financial Controller with ad-hoc finance tasks
Your experience
· Previous experience in an accounts or finance role is essential
· Confident bookkeeping skills
· Experience using Xero; QuickBooks experience advantageous
· Comfortable using Microsoft Excel
· Experience with credit control would be advantageous
· Exposure to VAT, payroll and CIS desirable but not essential
· AAT qualified or working towards AAT would be desirable but not essential

Pay: From £28,000.00 per year
