The Fish Cottage is looking for an experienced Fish Fryer to join our team.
Quality has always been at the heart of what we do, and we’re looking for someone who takes genuine pride in consistently producing exceptional fish and chips while thriving in a busy, professional kitchen.
You’ll become part of one of the region’s busiest independent fish and chip restaurants, working with a friendly team in a business that continues to invest in its people, equipment and future.
What you’ll be doing
- Frying fish, chips and seafood to consistently high standards
- Maintaining quality and portion consistency throughout service
- Managing fryers efficiently during busy periods
- Monitoring oil quality and fryer performance
- Following food safety and hygiene procedures
- Working closely with the wider kitchen and takeaway teams
- Keeping your section clean, organised and ready for service
What we’re looking for
- Previous commercial fish frying experience
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure without compromising quality
- Excellent attention to detail
- High standards of cleanliness and organisation
- Reliable, hardworking and a strong team player
- Pride in producing consistently excellent food
