POST: Risk Assessor
BASED AT: Hybrid Working South East/Dartford/Bromley
SALARY: 30k – 35K depending on experience
CONTRACT: Full-Time
REPORTING TO: Contracts Manager / Service Manager
Job Description:
The Role of a Risk Assessor is to carry out all the below areas of Legionella control. This will include but not be limited to:
- Legionella Risk Assessments
- Water Temperature Monitoring Control Schemes
- Disinfection (Hot and Cold Systems)
- Water Sampling
- Softener Servicing
- TMV Servicing and fail-safe checks
- Showerhead descale and disinfections
- Cold water storage tank inspections
- Calorifier Checks
- Plumbing Remedial Works (complexity will vary with experience/training)
You will be expected to use your training and experience in water hygiene to not only provide the services a client requires but to also problem solve and look for solutions on site for any Compliance issues. Risk Assessor you will provide support to Your main role will be carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments and writing up those reports and completing Schematics but you will be required to carry out other Water Hygiene tasks as required.
Work area: South East Region including Central London.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments for clients and writing up of the reports and Schematics
- Be smartly dressed and wear the Guardian uniform (provided) at all times during working hours;
- Work in a safe manner in accordance with the health and safety training received;
- Be professional at all times when dealing with clients;
- Maintain the Company vehicle and work equipment in good, clean, working order;
- Communicate clearly with clients providing up to date information on our products and services;
- Provide routine service calls to our client base
- Manage the routine calls within your allocated sites/area and ensure an excellent state of service at all times
- Manage your area efficiently and ensure you work effectively in order to keep running costs to a minimum
- Provide onsite service additions or jobs as and when required
- Take ad hoc works wherever required when practicable and work with other colleagues to ensure any urgent call outs are responded to within reasonable timescales
- Provide informative reports to customers on the CRM system to provide details of the service provided and any headline non-conformances
OTHER KEY ACTIVITIES:
- General administrative duties as part of your role, i.e. completing timesheets, visit reports, CRM and RFB entries
- Competently use mobile phone, the Company’s electronic reporting system or any other software provided
- Keep stock area in a neat and tidy organised state when picking up and dropping off stock
- Ensure you sync to the CRM multiple times daily to prevent any data loss
- Ensure all forms you are requested to submit by the company are submitted by the relevant deadlines

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of one year’s experience in Water Hygiene is required and to either possess the relevant required qualifications for the role or pass those courses if the company needs to put you through them.
The candidate must have the following:
- Possess excellent communication skills
- Be hardworking and trustworthy
- Possess good organisational and prioritisation skills and have the ability to manage their own workload
- Be computer literate with excellent experience of Word, Excel, Internet and Email. Must be good at working with live databases/CRM.
- Be good at problem solving
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail
- Good selling skills and a confident telephone manner
- A full, clean driving licence
- A clear DBS check (formerly CRB)
- Able to be flexible in their working hours due to the service nature of water hygiene
- A positive ‘can do’ attitude
