Job Description – Technical administrator

Job Summary
The Technical Administrator – Customer Order Processing and is responsible for coordinating and executing the technical evaluation of incoming customer orders to ensure they meet engineering and manufacturing standards. This role acts as the first line of order-related queries, supporting accurate, efficient, and timely order processing within Broadys.
Key Responsibilities
Review and validate customer orders, ensuring alignment with technical specifications and manufacturing capabilities.
Coordinate with Sales, Production Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve technical queries related to customer orders.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, such as order confirmations, specifications, and change requests.
Ensure accurate data entry and documentation within ERP/MRP and document control systems.
Support the Technical Manager in developing and enforcing SOPs for order validation and configuration processes.
Escalate complex or non-standard requests to engineering or management as needed.
Monitor team performance, allocate workload, and provide coaching to maintain high service and accuracy levels.
Serve as a liaison between internal departments to ensure seamless order fulfillment and issue resolution.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in the order intake and validation process.
Commit to personal development including training in relevant software and department enhancement.
The person
3-5 years of experience in a technical support or order processing role within a manufacturing environment.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., EFACS, SAP, Oracle, Infor).
Strong understanding of engineering drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing processes.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
Experience in a configure-to-order (CTO) or engineered-to-order (ETO) environment.
Knowledge of 3D CAD or product configuration software. (Solidworks/Inventor/Solid Edge)
Excellent Microsoft office suite experience, Especially Excel. Good knowledge of access databases.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
Pay: £24,420.00-£28,000.00 per year
