Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Senior GP Administrator to join our medical practice team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing administrative tasks, supporting clinical staff, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the practice. Responsibilities
- Managing appointment scheduling and patient records using Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office applications
- Handling correspondence, including emails and phone calls, with professionalism and courtesy
- Maintaining accurate medical documentation, including coding and filing using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Assisting with the preparation of reports, presentations, and data analysis through Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
- Supporting clinical staff with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and record management
- Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards
- Providing excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and colleagues
- Organising meetings, training sessions, and other practice events efficiently
- Managing incoming enquiries promptly and effectively to facilitate smooth practice operations
Qualifications
- Proven experience using Emis CRM System is essential
- Experience in GP Practice setting for at least 2 years is desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Experience in customer service and IT systems relevant to healthcare administration
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team with excellent time management skills
- Previous experience in medical administration or healthcare IT systems will be advantageous
