Worker required at Whitethorn Farm in Herefordshire to help run our packhouse, from July through to December. The work includes:
manage grading line and packing fruit to fulfil customer orders
managing cold stores
Juicing apples, bottling, labelling etc to make apple juice
Normally 8-5, 5 days a week will vary according to workload but 30 hours a week minimum guaranteed. Some early starts and late finishes.
This job would suit a gap year student. Though shorter or longer contract considered.
Previous packhouse experience not necessary but you will need to demonstrate that you are organised and can work efficiently often unsupervised. You will need to be physically able to carry and stack boxes of produce.
Forklift experience useful but not necessary - training provided
You will need a driving licence and your own transport as the farm is not on public transport routes and hours can vary.
You will need existing right to work in UK and live locally.
