Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial records of our business. The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining accurate financial data, reconciling accounts, and supporting basic accounting tasks.
This is a flexible part-time role suitable for someone who is organised, trustworthy, and comfortable working independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping systems
- Record daily financial transactions
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Assist with VAT returns and financial reports
- Ensure compliance with UK financial regulations
- Work with accounting software Xero
Requirements
- Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles
- Experience using accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage)
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
- AAT qualification or equivalent (desirable)
- Experience working with small businesses
- Knowledge of UK VAT and HMRC reporting
Pay: £13,500.00-£18,500.00 per year
