Operations Deputy Manager (Full-time)
Reporting to: Operations Department Manager / Department Manager / General Manager
About the role
The Operations Deputy Manager supports the store leadership team to deliver strong operational standards across back and front of house. The role focuses on stock flow, systems, cash desk standards, online processes and team support. You will help keep operations organized, safe and customer-ready, while coaching the team and ensuring key routines are completed accurately and on time.
What you’ll be doing
Store operations & organization

Support smooth stock flow: deliveries, replenishment, stockroom standards and ongoing organization.

Support online processes (SINT, Store Mode, C&C) and ensure daily deadlines are met.

Assist with stock takes across departments, ensuring preparation and execution are accurate and well planned.

Maintain store tech and systems (POS/RFID, iPods, iPads, Bluebirds), applying troubleshooting and supporting team training where required.

Review operational reports and KPIs (e.g., replenishment ranking, transfers, devolutions) and support improvement actions.

Support daily front-of-house routines including fitting room organization, queue management (FR/SCO/Cash Desk) and refunds flow to maximize coverage and efficiency.

Support store supply orders (stationery/bags) in line with budget and required levels.
Security procedures / cash standards

Support the GM and management team to ensure security and funds procedures are followed consistently and documentation is completed.

Ensure cash desk standards are followed for purchases, refunds, exchanges, transfers (RFID), faulty and on-hold items.

Open/close cash desk when required and support training of cashiers and managers.

Monitor cash discrepancies and report/escalate appropriately.

Support banking routines and follow up on incidents raised by Loss Prevention.

Manage change requests and follow up as required.
Training, development & team support

Promote HR policies, the Code of Conduct and best practice by leading by example.

Support leaders in identifying development potential and building internal succession.

Support team development through 1:1s and development plans (Leap), tracking progress and maintaining standards.

Support training for new processes/projects to strengthen operational performance across back and front of house.
Customer service, health & safety

Ensure customers are acknowledged and receive a high-quality service.

Resolve customer queries and handle conflict confidently and calmly, especially around refunds/returns.

Reinforce the return policy consistently and fairly.

Maintain housekeeping standards and support reporting/escalation of accidents and risks.

Follow safe working practices and comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy.
