The Liphook Equine Hospital is a world-renowned, fully equipped, state-of-the-art equine referral veterinary hospital providing specialist clinical care to horses, ponies and donkeys referred from our own practice and from veterinary practices across the UK.
We are looking for an organised and customer-focused Accounts Administrator to join our friendly team on a full-time, 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with accounts administration, finance or credit control experience who enjoys working in a busy office environment and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.
As part of our finance team, you will support the day-to-day running of the accounts function, working closely with colleagues and clients to ensure accurate financial administration and a high standard of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting all aspects of the accounts function.
- Processing financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Assisting with invoicing, payments and account reconciliations.
- Managing customer account queries by telephone and email.
- Supporting credit control activities, including chasing outstanding payments where required.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and databases.
- Providing excellent customer service to clients and colleagues.
- Carrying out general administrative duties to support the finance team.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- At least 2 years' office administration experience, ideally in an accounts, finance or business administration role.
- Excellent numeracy skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A professional and confident telephone manner.
- Experience working in a customer service environment.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a small, supportive team.
Desirable Skills
The following experience would be an advantage but is not essential:
- Accounts administration.
- Credit control.
- Veterinary practice or equine industry knowledge.
