Part Time Van Driver, 12 to 22 hours per week
Job summary
We are looking to recruit a van driver to work a minimum of 12 to a maximum of 22 hours per week. Working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 8am to 11:30-2pm ish.
Purpose of the Role
To be responsible for the efficient transport of clean, dirty laundry and goods throughout our business network.
Key Responsibilities
- To collect and return customer items in a timely and secure manner
- Applicant must be able to lift, sometimes heavy laundry parcels. Between 10kg to 25kg, per bag and at numerous drop offs.
- To be accountable for securing your allocated vehicle and its contents at all times
- Complete daily safety checks of vehicle
- To be responsible for the correct use and security of branch keys alarm codes mobile phones and fuel cards
- Driving within the UK highway code regulations
- Reporting any vehicle accidents immediately
- Treat all customers and other persons in a courteous friendly and professional manner
- To complete accurately all relevant paperwork.
- To handle any emergency which may arise including following procedures in the event of a vehicle fire
- To comply with Ideal Cleaners guidelines and procedures, particularly in relation to branch security and Health and Safety regulation
- Assisting with ad-hoc tasks when and wherever required
Job Requirement
- Must hold a current full UK driving license, with no more than 6 points on the licence - insurance purposes only
- Must be 25 or over to apply for the job - insurance purposes only
- At least 2 years experience in a similar work environment would be an advantage
- Working Bank holiday's

- Be a good team player with the ability to work on own initiative and meet tight deadlines
