About the Role
As a club teacher, you'll deliver a fun, engaging, and well-structured session each week to children at your assigned school. The exact club you'll be running depends on the area and school you're applying for, so please check the specific listing details or ask us which club this role covers.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a structured, age-appropriate session each week following World of Performing's scheme of work for your club
- Create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment where children feel confident to take part
- Follow all safeguarding procedures at all times, including registering attendance, supervising children throughout the session, and reporting any concerns promptly through the correct channels
- Manage behaviour positively and consistently, in line with school and company policy
- Set up and pack away club equipment/resources
- Communicate professionally with school staff, parents, and the World of Performing team
- Keep up to date with safeguarding training and company policies
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children in a teaching, coaching, or performing arts setting
- A genuine passion for the specific club area you're applying for (drama, dance, music, movement, or similar)
- A strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities, or willingness to complete training
- Reliable, punctual, and confident managing a group of children independently
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- First Aid certificate desirable, or willingness to complete training
