Carer / Support Worker – Personal Care & Domestic Support

Are you a compassionate and dependable carer who enjoys helping people maintain their daily routines and home environment? We are seeking dedicated Self Employed Carers to assist elderly clients with personal care, medication management and household tasks.
This is a great opportunity for carers looking for consistent work with a mix of all day and flexible shifts.
Location: Sevenoaks
Schedule: Must commit to every Thursday & Friday, 8am to 8pm. Additional sleep in nights booked in advance.
Supporting a young man who is non verbal, wheelchair bound but can weight bear. You must have a driving licence and peg feeding experience.
Successful candidates would be consistent, kind and professional at all times.
Chime Care is a friendly domiciliary care company, supporting people to stay comfortable and independent in their own homes. Most of our work is made up of hourly visits to clients, where you might be helping with personal care, daily routines, or just providing a bit of company.
We offer work on a self-employed basis, so it’s flexible and can fit around your availability. If you like the idea of working independently, getting out and about, and building regular connections with people in their own homes, this could be a great fit. We also offer free training if experience is limited.
Please note that we are unable to offer visa sponsorship now or in the foreseeable future. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the UK. We are happy to be flexible and accommodate working hours (if limited).
The Role
- Provide support with personal care including washing, dressing and mobility
- Support him to access the community and actively engage in all of his planned daily activities, encouraging participation and independence wherever possible.
- Observe and document any changes in health or wellbeing
- Adhere to care plans and maintain accurate records
- Respond appropriately to health concerns and apply first aid where required
- Work alongside healthcare professionals, relatives and care coordinators to ensure joined-up support
What we're looking for
- Previous experience with immobility and peg feeding
- Care certificate
- Strong interpersonal skills with patience and empathy
- A caring, respectful and professional approach
- Good organisational ability when completing care documentation
- First aid training is desirable
Is this you?
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS within the last 3 years
- Experience in domiciliary or support work
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable)
- Clear spoken and written English
- Experience assisting clients with personal care
- Dependable and punctual
- Calm, considerate and respectful manner
- Well-organised with a strong commitment to preserving client dignity and independence
