We are seeking an organised and proactive Research and Innovation Assistant to support the postgraduate research (PGR) experience across the Faculty. Working closely with the Research and Innovation Coordinator and wider colleagues, you will help to administer high‑quality, consistent processes that underpin research activity, ethics, funding bids and PGR student lifecycle activities. This is a varied role that requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and a commitment to high levels of customer service for staff, students and external stakeholders.
The postholder will provide comprehensive administrative and operational support across research and PGR activities, including admissions and annual progress monitoring, ethics approvals, research funding bids, staff conference applications and budget monitoring. You will support Faculty committees and working groups by preparing papers, servicing meetings, taking accurate minutes and tracking actions.
This role suits someone who is keen to contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, act as a key point of contact for queries, and ensure policies and procedures are applied consistently. In return, we offer a supportive environment that values professional development, inclusivity and continuous improvement, where your work will make a meaningful contribution to research excellence and postgraduate student success.
