Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Class 2 Tipper Grab Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a Class 2 lorry equipped with tipping and grab facilities, delivering materials efficiently and safely to various locations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers looking to utilise their expertise in a professional environment, ensuring timely and secure transportation of goods.
Duties
- Safely operate a Class 2 lorry with tipping and grab functions to carry out deliveries and collections.
- Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules while adhering to all traffic regulations.
- Conduct pre-journey safety checks on the vehicle, including brakes, lights, and load security.
- Load and unload materials using the grab equipment, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed.
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and vehicle logs.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and maintenance for the vehicle throughout the day.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery times or any issues encountered during routes.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed or tipper vehicles.
- Strong driving skills with a valid HGV Class 2 licence.
- Experience operating grab equipment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to commercial vehicle operation.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently.
- Good communication skills to liaise professionally with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently whilst maintaining a high level of safety awareness throughout all tasks.
Plus a Monthly Bonus of £50.00
Pay: £15.00-£22.50 per hour
