About the Role
Blaenau Gwent is seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Educational Psychologist to support the Principal Educational Psychologist in providing strategic leadership and management to the Educational Psychology Service.
As a Senior Educational Psychologist, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering high-quality psychological services across the local authority. You will contribute to strategic development, service innovation, and collaborative working to improve outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and deliver local authority-wide projects, demonstrating impact at system level.
- Provide professional supervision and support to members of the Educational Psychology Service, Trainee Educational Psychologists, school staff and other professionals.
- Contribute to the strategic direction and development of the Educational Psychology Service.
- Support workforce development through training, consultation, and capacity building.
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to promote inclusion and wellbeing.
- Maintain high standards of applied psychological practice across the service.
