Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Residential Children Support Worker to provide compassionate care and support to children in a residential setting. The successful candidate will work closely with children, implementing care plans, and fostering a safe and nurturing environment. Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised care in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring the emotional and physical wellbeing of children.
- Support children with daily activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and recreational pursuits.
- Foster positive relationships through effective communication, active listening, and empathetic engagement.
- Assist with behavioural management strategies and promote social skills development.
- Facilitate transportation for children when necessary, including driving to appointments or activities in line with organisational policies.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, progress notes, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to review and update care plans regularly.
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare or support setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of child development principles and safeguarding procedures.
- Experience in creating or following care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with children, families, and colleagues.
- Proficiency in using IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes.
- Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving transportation responsibilities.

Pay: £24,420.00-£36,109.36 per year
