Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly ,experienced and efficient Barista to join our team. Daytime shifts only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays , you will be required to work most weekends ,usually starting work at 8am or 9am and finishing around 4pm.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant café/bakery setting, engaging with diverse customers .
A passion for coffee and customer satisfaction is essential to thrive in this position.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments accurately, and operate the POS system.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas in accordance with food safety standards.
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals when required.
- Manage stock levels by replenishing supplies as needed and notifying management of inventory shortages.
- Uphold health and safety regulations at all times, including proper food handling procedures.
- Foster a welcoming atmosphere by engaging with customers professionally and courteously.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Barista working with high volume is essential;
- Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous.
- Experience with serving customers in a fast-paced environment is essential
- Good time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour to ensure positive customer interactions.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends .
