We’re looking for friendly, reliable and enthusiastic individuals to help make lunchtimes a great experience for our pupils. If you enjoy working with children and have a passion for great customer service, this could be the perfect role for you!
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Prepare and serve nutritious school meals.
- Leading your team to provide excellent customer service
- Completing orders and managing stock control
- Liaising with school and the service to promote our service and increase meal uptake
- Controlling kitchen costs.
- Following and managing hygiene and safety procedures
- Completing kitchen paperwork (e.g. cleaning schedules, temperature logs payroll)
What We’re Looking For:
- A caring attitude and a team spirit.
- Excellent cooking skills and presentation.
- Good communication skills – especially with children
- Basic literacy and numeracy.
- Food hygiene level 2, training in allergens, and safeguarding
This is a physically active role in a busy school kitchen, so you’ll need to be comfortable with standing, lifting, and working at pace. Flexibility is appreciated, especially during school events.
This post is for three days per week, term time only (Mon to Wed)
It is a fixed term position until 1st April 27.
