Responsibilities
- Safely operate flatbed trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver products to designated locations.
- Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and minimize delays.
- Load, secure, and unload cargo with attention to safety protocols and proper handling techniques.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in excellent working condition before each shift.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, delivery receipts, and vehicle maintenance records.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during every trip.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed or commercial driving backgrounds.
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record; familiarity with commercial driving regulations is essential.
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading/unloading cargo safely and efficiently.
- Excellent navigation skills with knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns.
- Good communication skills for interacting professionally with customers and team members.
- Ability to stay focused on safety and detail-oriented tasks throughout long shifts.
