360 Services requires experienced Care Workers / Junior Support Workers to Join our team of Bank workers (sleeping for part of the night only), within a Safeguarding Officer role.
Based in a Homeless Hostel in Bristol. The role will involve you working on your own overnight to support the needs of homeless and vulnerable young people.
You will be responsible for supporting the Safeguarding of the Hostels residents through conducting Health and Safety checks on the building, Welfare checks on residents, ensuring that access to the building is restricted to approved visitors only and providing support to Vulnerable Young People as and when required.
The pattern for the Shifts will be as follows:
- Wake: 20:00 - 23:30 (Rate of pay £12.41 an hour)
- Sleep: 23:30 - 07:30 (Rate of pay £50.00)
- Wake: 07.30 - 08:30 (Rate of pay £12.41 an hour)
If you are required to be awake for more than 4 hours between the hours of 23:30 and 07:30 you will be paid for the whole shift.
You will be required to identify any safeguarding concerns that you witness and document all concerns and incidents clearly and accurately.
You will also be responsible for maintaining visitor logs, distributing food donations, light cleaning duties and supporting senior support staff as and where required.
Must Have:
- A knowledge and understanding of working with vulnerable adults, which may include young adults, or those with addiction issues or those requiring support with their mental health. We expect all workers to display empathy to Vulnerable Adults/Young People. All training will be provided.
- Some relevant experience is preferred but not essential.
- Either an Enhanced DBS or the ability to obtain one.
