Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Waiter/Waitress to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional guest service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist them with seating arrangements
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Provide excellent guest service by answering questions about menu items and making recommendations to upsell dishes or beverages
- Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times during service and food preparation
- Clear tables promptly and assist with setting up for the next service period
- Handle cash or electronic payments accurately, including processing bills and giving change where applicable
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues promptly
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not essential; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are key
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Basic maths skills for handling payments accurately
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary or kitchen experience is beneficial but not mandatory; willingness to assist with food preparation is appreciated
- Time management skills to ensure timely service delivery and customer satisfaction
- Upselling abilities to promote specials or high-margin items effectively
