We are looking for a Wills Paralegal to join our team to support the delivery of a high quality client focused Wills service.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys drafting legal documents, working closely with clients and managing a caseload in a supportive team environment.
About the role
You will manage a caseload of Will drafting, amendments, and Will‑marking matters, ensuring files progress smoothly and clients receive clear, timely communication throughout. Working collaboratively with colleagues, you will help deliver a proactive and professional service that meets internal procedures and legal requirements.
What you'll be doing
- Draft Wills accurately, ensuring all documents reflect client instructions and legal standards
- Guide clients through the Will‑drafting or amendment process, clearly explaining timeframes and next steps
- Provide regular updates to clients to ensure a positive and reassuring experience
- Review and mark Wills to ensure documents are complete, accurate, and legally valid
- Carry out legal research relevant to Will drafting and current legislation
- Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records on the case management system
- Organise and manage your workload to meet agreed file progression targets
- Respond to correspondence and telephone enquiries in line with service level expectations
- Open and close files in line with internal procedures, ensuring all records are maintained correctly
What we're looking for
We are keen to hear from candidates who are organised, detail‑focused, and confident communicating with clients. You will be comfortable managing multiple tasks and working to deadlines, while maintaining a high standard of client care.
Essential:
- A‑level (A*–C) or equivalent in English Language
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Desirable:
- Law degree or equivalent legal qualification
- CILEx Level 3 or working towards
- Previous experience in Wills and Probate (helpful but not essential)
- Experience working to targets and handling case progression
