Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient consultations, understanding concerns and explaining treatment options, timelines, risks, and costs.
- Collaborate with dentists and the dental team to create personalized treatment plans and present them to patients.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments across the patient journey, including follow-ups.
- Provide clear financial guidance, including cost estimates, insurance coverage, and payment options.
- Maintain regular communication with patients regarding appointments, progress, and care instructions.
- Offer empathetic support to patients, addressing anxieties or concerns and enhancing their overall experience.
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient information, treatment plans, and financial details in practice management software.
Requirements:
- Qualified Dental Nurse with professional registration preferred.
- Previous experience as a Dental Treatment Coordinator or in a patient-facing dental role is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, treatments, and terminology.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Empathy and compassion to support patients throughout their treatment journey.
- Familiarity with dental practice management software; understanding of insurance and billing is a plus.
- Commitment to ethical guidelines and maintaining patient confidentiality.
