Finance Operations Administrator 12 month fixed term contract
Location: Welwyn Garden City, AL7 1EL
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:15pm
Hybrid working: Minimum of three days per week in the office
Salary: £26,270
Are you organised, accurate and keen to start or develop your career in finance operations? We have a great opportunity for a Finance Operations Administrator to join our Finance Operations team, reporting to the Data Assurance Team Leader.
This role will give you hands-on experience across reconciliations, reporting, invoicing support, credit control and query resolution. You’ll work with finance systems, operational reports, banks, clients, customers and internal teams to help keep processes running smoothly and accurately.
What you’ll be doing

Supporting the completion of bank reconciliations, including reviewing, investigating and following up on items as needed.

Assisting with data reconciliations across finance systems and operational reports.

Supporting sales ledger reconciliation activity and helping to identify and resolve differences.

Assisting with credit control activity, including reviewing outstanding balances and supporting query follow-up.

Preparing and maintaining daily reports for the Finance Operations team.

Helping to investigate and resolve queries with banks, clients, customers and internal stakeholders.

Maintaining accurate records and completing work in line with agreed processes, controls and deadlines.

Escalating issues or exceptions to the Data Assurance Team Leader when further review or support is required.

Providing cover and support for other roles within the Finance Operations team where needed.

Contributing to continuous improvement by highlighting process issues, risks or opportunities to improve ways of working.

Previous experience in finance, administration, customer service or an office environment would be helpful, but it is not essential.
