Housekeeper / Cleaning Assistant – Luxury Holiday Accommodation
Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and detail-focused Housekeeper / Cleaning Assistant to join our small, family-run holiday accommodation team in Inverness.
The role will primarily involve preparing our four beautifully renovated self-catering properties in central Inverness between guest stays.
Cleanliness and presentation are extremely important to us, and we pride ourselves on providing guests with accommodation that is spotlessly clean, welcoming and beautifully presented from the moment they arrive.
We are therefore looking for someone who takes genuine pride in their work, has an excellent eye for detail and can consistently maintain our high standards.
Duties
- Thoroughly clean and prepare our holiday properties between guest stays, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and living areas.
- Change bed linen, make beds and present bedrooms ready for arriving guests.
- Replenish towels, toiletries and other guest supplies.
- Vacuum, mop, dust and complete all general housekeeping tasks to a high standard.
- Follow property cleaning checklists to ensure our standards are consistently maintained.
- Carry out final checks to ensure properties are beautifully presented and completely guest-ready.
- Identify and report any maintenance issues, damage, breakages or missing items.
- Assist with laundry duties including washing, drying, folding and organising linen and towels.
- Restock cleaning products and guest supplies when required.
- Help with additional housekeeping duties across our accommodation when required.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in holiday accommodation, hotel housekeeping or professional cleaning would be beneficial, although it is not essential for the right person.
We are particularly looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
- Hardworking with a strong attention to detail.
- Particular about cleanliness and presentation.
- Able to work efficiently and independently.
- Comfortable working as part of a small team.
- Organised and able to manage their time effectively.
- Able to maintain consistently high standards, even during busy periods.
- Flexible, as working days will vary depending on guest bookings.
- Comfortable communicating with the team via WhatsApp.
A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as the role involves travelling between our Inverness properties.
Hours & Pay
£13.00 per hour
Approximately 16+ hours per week, with hours varying depending on bookings and occupancy.
The majority of shifts take place during the daytime between guest check-out and check-in. Weekend work will sometimes be required, so some flexibility is essential.
There may also be opportunities for additional hours across our other holiday accommodation.
