Humly are registering Primary Teachers in Blackburn and Darwen ready for work from September.
This is not for one single teaching job. We are speaking to qualified Primary Teachers now so we can match the right people to local schools when September bookings are confirmed.
We work with primary schools across Blackburn, Darwen and nearby areas that need teachers for day-to-day supply, regular part-time work, full-time class cover, PPA cover and longer-term teaching roles.
Roles may be available across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, depending on your experience, availability and the type of work you are looking for.

Role Details
Location: Blackburn, Darwen and nearby areas
Pay: £120-£160 per day
Start: September 2026
Role type: Primary Teacher, Supply Teacher, Class Teacher, PPA Teacher
Working pattern: Flexible supply, part-time, full-time and long-term roles may be available
Setting: Primary schools
Key stages: EYFS, KS1 and KS2 opportunities may be available
Focus: Teaching, class cover, PPA cover, lesson delivery and pupil progress
What You Could Be Doing
As a Primary Teacher with Humly, your role may include:
- Teaching EYFS, KS1 or KS2 classes
- Delivering planned lessons
- Providing day-to-day class cover
- Supporting PPA cover across different year groups
- Taking on longer-term class teaching roles where available
- Managing classroom routines and behaviour
- Supporting pupils with literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum learning
- Adapting lessons to suit different abilities
- Working with Teaching Assistants and school staff
- Giving feedback on learning, behaviour and progress
- Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Following school policies and safeguarding procedures
Some roles will be flexible day-to-day supply. Others may be regular bookings or longer-term roles where you become part of the school team for a set period.
You’ll Be a Good Fit If You...
- Hold QTS
- Have experience teaching in UK primary schools
- Are confident teaching EYFS, KS1 or KS2
- Can deliver lessons clearly and confidently
- Have strong classroom management skills
- Are reliable, organised and professional
- Can quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Are looking for supply, part-time, full-time or long-term teaching work from September
- Have, or are willing to complete, the required safeguarding and compliance checks

Longer-Term Roles and Pay
For longer-term teacher bookings, AWR may apply from week 13 where you remain in the same role with the same hirer. Where this applies, your pay may be reviewed in line with the school’s equivalent rate.
